Tips for a great stay
BOAT TRIPS
Go around the islands, explore the lake and take in the epic landscapes. For boat trips on the Sesse canoe, please speak to Joseph at Teddy Bear Island. It is advisable to book well in advance as the boat is also used by island residents. This can be arranged when booking the Camp or on arrival.
FISHING
The Lake has an abundance of Tilapia, as well as course fish such as Catfish, Lungfish and Barbell. There are some fishing rods but we recommend you bring your own kit.
BIRD WATCHING
Lake Baringo is home to an incredible variety of bird life, with over 450 species inhabiting the area, as well as hippo and crocodile. Boat trips on the Lake can be arranged in Sesse canoes.
For great photographic shots, request a few fish be provided to entice the fish eagles to swoop down.
Just chill
Sometimes it just good to stop & chill out for a few days.
SUN DOWNERS
Pack a sun downer bag, get your gym shoes on and climb to the top of Teddy Bear Island for fantastic 360 degree sunset views.

Alternatively, stay in the camp, grab some cushions and head to the rock seating by the pool.
STAR GAZING
On clear nights, with so little light pollution, the stars & Milky Way can be spectacular. Lie back and take it all in. You might be lucky to see shooting stars, satellites or the Space Station.
